Massachusetts Moves Closer To Transgender Bathroom Protections

The Massachusetts House has passed a bill aimed at preventing discrimination against transgender people in public accommodations.

Gov. Charlie Baker says he would “sign the House version in its current form” should it reach his desk. Supporters and opponents demonstrated outside the state house as lawmakers debated the bill.
